The Champagne Baradon company was founded by George Baradon in 1922. Today this winery, which extends over nine hectares in the Montaigne de Reims area and produces nearly 70 thousand bottles per year, is run by the brothers Maxence and Cyril Janisson.
Their grapes are organically grown, avoiding the use of neither herbicides nor pesticides. The company produces in average 50-55 hectolitres of wine per hectare, while to make such champagne as Toulette or Tue Boeuf it takes only 30 hectolitres per hectare. The Chardonnay they produce is classified as Grand Cru.
