Champagne Vilmart

If you visit the Champagne Vilmart winery, the first thing that you will see in the tasting that you will see in the tasting room is extreme precision, order and stained glass windows.

Laurent`s father was an artist reproducing ancient stained glass church windows and Laurent himself, as a winemaker, is also such a gifted scientist / artist. His handcrafted champagnes are an example of precision, elegance and subtle complexity, yet very easy to drink and to pair with your style of cuisine. The Domaine Vilmart & Cie was founded in 1890, in Rilly-la-Montagne, and became famous thanks to Vilmart's sons' hard work and dedication.

Today the family owns eleven hectares of land, on which they cultivate 60% of Chardonnay grapes and 40% of Pinot Noir. Most of these stocks are 35 years old, some of them even 50, and they are exclusively used to produce “Cœur de Cuvée”.
